The (anchois) dining table was another piece that was directly inspired through architecture. From my view from the sidewalk café of a West Loop restaurant, I was struck by the unique cantilevered roof system of a new high rise development and quickly put pen to cocktail napkin. I named the table (anchois), which means “anchovy” in French, to represent the interesting skeletal like structure of the building which I incorporated into the design.
